Dealing with Death

Does the state has the right to take your life? Does they have the right to kill you? No, of course they don't. I, Jean Paul Sartre, i am a great supporter of having to stand on your own consequences. For every choice you make, there is a reaction to it and you should be enough of a man to face. You should be prepared to take action over all choices you make, but i am also a firm believer of the essence of life as well as the ultimate freedom you have. Life is usually absurd and meaningless, but one of the many privilege of life is the freedom of choice. You can choose to do whatever you want, but people don't get to take your life, even if you committed a hideous life. This is a hard topic for me to discuss, as two of my firm beliefs clash together, but i believe that no one should be able to take your life, as that people are making a choice for you, which should not happen. They are taking the essence of life. I have experienced at first hand what is it to take someones life as i've been traumatized by the horrible acts of war, so no, it should never be ethical to impose death penalty.

  1. I dont agree with sartres view on this matter.I solemly think that the government can make this decision. Once you are born you become a citizen. And the government at hand has every right to treat you as a citizen. They can control you as they wish. If you commit a crime worthy of the death penalty you shall get it. There is no question that you deserve this and the government present should inflict this maximum punishment. - plato

  2. No one has the right to kill a non existent creature. Nothing exists so therefore you cannot be certain that you are really killing someone. How do you know they are just part of your mind and you think they are real? Nothing really exists.
