" Free Speech"

Government says that people don’t have an unlimited right to express themselves freely but I believe the state has no right to engage itself in the private relationships of citizens as long as people’s actions don’t hurt others. The government has no business in restricting what people do, for example the government has the right to banned or prohibit illegal drugs because of their negative effects on society but the government doesn’t have the right to prevent individuals from using them because of the negative consequences affect only the one that is using it, So the government doesn’t have the power to prevent the choice one makes as long it doesn’t harm others. I think that this law is reasonable only if it is used to avoid destructive consequences. I believe we need to find the greater good for the greater number of people. The morally right act to do is the one where the consequence it brings has the more benefits for the majority. I believe that we should all do what will benefit ourselves and all the society; we should not harm the society. Limits on individual liberty are justified only with the purpose to prevent disruption in the society in general and censorship is the limiting of people’s right to express themselves freely, for this reason expressions that offend other people and prevent behavior that is morally wrong or violent behavior and when it is addressed to a group of people that is incapable to avoid its harmful effects.
