Thing 2?? Sounds great! (Ayn Rand)

Genetic engineering has been a recently popular thing to study because it hasn’t been fully explored. Scientists are always trying to make us life easier by getting all the best genes to reproduce only good quality animals or even cells. Critics, as always, says that cloning cells could be a contributing factor that could lead to many types of cancer.

The majority of people have come to consent that cloning in general is not ethical because maybe it causes pain to the human or animal, and because of the unknown results. I say that cloning is ethical due to its effectiveness. Cloning has developed a lot lately; has come up with many things like seedless fruits like the grape, the ruby red grapefruit, and the watermelon. It also has been a good way to prevent extinction, and it also clones common animals that we eat. Scientists hope that cloned cells will be used to treat serious diseases such as heart problems, diabetes and spinal injuries. So why not be ethical? In my opinion, if I were to have a son, I would like him to have my best genes.

I always make emphasis on the importance to look forward what is best for you and not for anyone else. Making selfish decisions is the same as ethical decisions, and if you get seedless fruits, good genes that would make great human beings and animals, and cure major diseases like cancer; genetic engineering is very ethical from my point of view, without glancing at the consequences of the vonlunteer. It’s a volunteer after all.
