Death Penalty
We are here because God sent us here to live. If God can send someone to this earth then why should we be so presumptuous as to assume that we can decide why or when we can send someone to their death and out of this world. God has a plan for all of us and we should not interfere with His plans. Other that the fact that we have no authority over His kingdom it is morally wrong to send another man to his death, no matter how heinous his crimes. Two wrongs don't make a right and killing another person won't bring back the person who already died. Society should focus more on reforming a person than punishing him. If society focused more on reformation than punishment than we would be able to release criminals instead of locking them up for years on end and making them a burden on society. Death is not something any human should be able to decide for another person; it doesn't matter whether it is a criminal or a judge in a court of law. Everyone should seek to let God into their lives so that we all followed the path that He laid out for us and we wouldn't have problems with people killing each other.

I think what Thomas aquino states is totally off course. Every citizen has the opportunity for a long lasting life ? How about the life that person in the death row has taken? How about the families of the victim? Somebody needs to pay and what other way if not by the same form they did the crime. If someone is totally aware of the consequences of their actions it is on the governments power to apply this person the sanction they consider appropiate. Death penalty should be allowed and used against any one who deserves it.
