"Man is disturbed not by things, but by the views he takes of them."- Epicetus
Although ancients stoics are often misunderstood because the different way of reasoning from time periods, there is one thing we know for sure; Stoics where people that kept their heads cool for the most part. They did not try to fully obliterate emotions; they instead tried to channel them at regulated patterns to be able to take wise decisions.
Some problems can be solved in the assurance that information can be attained through the use of reason. Truths can sometimes be set apart from fallacies in real life even though the fringes are blurred. Stoics believe that every object has a certain pulsation that leaves behind a particular trace in their minds. According to stoics the world is divided into two parts: the passive and the active. The passive things are matter, which lie motionless unless someone or something makes it move. The active side is fate, which acts upon those motionless objects.
