"Even if a civil society were to be dissolved by the consent of all its members...the last murderer remaining in the prison would first have to be executed, so that each has done to him what his deeds deserve and blood guilt does not cling to the popler for not having insisted upon this punishment; for otherwise the people can be regarded as collaborators in this public violation of justice"
As you can see, and stated above, I am very infavor of the capital punishment, of the death penalty. I believe that if not supported, the government and those not in favor of the death penalty are in favor then, on the act of violation done by the prisoner.
No society can exist without laws. Therefore enforcing the law equals protection. Any person who violates the law loses the right to be a member of such society. It means he?she oposses the social order and must be deemed guilty and punished. PUNISHMENT IS LEGAL if the basis is a crime. i insist that a country that does not sentence a murderer to death TURNS INTO AN ACCOMPLICE OF THIS CRIME!

I have to disagree with you for the following reasons; I don't believe that a society becomes and accomplice of the criminal merely by avoiding the use of the death penalty. Secondly, what could give the state the ability to judge a life? This is a task which is left only to God himself.
ReplyDeleteI will disagree with you because a person can never have the right to decide whether another person should live or die. That is up to God and no one else can take that privilege from him and to do so is to commit sin.
