Willing to die....

Euthanasia is translated to “good death” in Greek. Some people terminally ill decide to end up their lives committing suicide. The majority of people aware of what it is all about consider it to be morally wrong, but still Utilitarianists are on favor. Utilitarianists will always be on favor of what will benefit the majority but will be on favor of what benefits the minority if and only if it results in the greatest good overall. Euthanasia reliefs family members economically and emotionally in cases like this. Why wait for any terminal disease to end your life? People with cancer, for example, they have to go through the process of chemotherapies, they’ll end up suffering even more the rest of their lives so euthanasia in this case will be a relief. Anyone in this condition or any other similar has the right to commit suicide, whether assisted by a doctor or do it by themselves, if they are snatched this right it would be considered censuring a person’s freedom of choice, which is what allows us to make our own decisions, whether they are for good or harm. Then yes, people terminally ill have the right to end their lives to avoid suffering according to utilitarianism beliefs.

  1. You have to consider that you wont only affect yourself, but others around you as well. As a virtue ethicists, morals are my guidence and if your morals say that killing yourself for the greater good is correct, be my guest. I would like you to be in others peoples shoes. Not all people have the privilage to live, and you shuld value your life as a gift given to you to take care off.
