Living souls on dead Bodies
Is euthanasia ethical? Is it moral to kill people when they are to a point that they cannot live a full life? I once wrote ''what we need is not the will to believe but the will to find out" so to come to a conclusion if to kill someone we need to research and find out both sides of an argument to balance the harm and the good that will be done to the person, irrespective of personal preference. If your religion or church states is agaisnt the because it has a biased side to the argument dont participate on the research because religious dogmas cannot be proven right or wrong so it cant be final. Euthanasia means ''good death'' who wouldnt prefer to die with a little honor or just the fact of it being painless instead of living a life of pain and disability. I think that voluntary death or Euthanasia should become legal and it is moral because even if in a country voluntary death is illegal the country is still killing hundreds of people ''legally''. I also think that poeple with mental and physical disabilities that cannot stand for themselves and say that they want out, or that they are suffering way too much have no cause or purpose in life and a life without a meaning is not a life at all. Its like they are already dead but with a living body that doesnt work at all. So if you ask me if Euthanasia should be morally acceptable and if you ask me that it is ethical to kill someone on a vegetative state i say it is beacuse your are relieving them from heir pain and their burden.

very nice title pt! jajajajaja
ReplyDeleteI agree with your thinking christopher. if you decide what to do with your life and the government approves your decision you should be allowed to take your own life. Once you are born in a countries boundaries the government becomes your law and it can decide whatever it wants. As i wrote in "The republic" the government becomes your commandant and you should abide to what it dictates.
ReplyDeleteThis post is spot-on. You're completely right. If the person is in a vegetative and completely useless state, it is only fair to put him or her out of misery. Humans should not be forced under any circumstance to withstand unbearable pain. There is no fruitful product of enduring pain, anyway, so having the option to put it to an end is perfectly understandable- and in fact, should be a right.
ReplyDeleteI agree that people have their right to choose when to die and how to die. And if they are suffering and living a life of dullness, it should be completely moral and ethical to die with a little bit of honor.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you stated here. When a person does not have or cannot attain a purpose in life, the will to live becomes extremely low. A person with no will to live has no way of being authentic, since being authentic implies that a person can and will make choices by himself. I also believe that a person in great suffering falls under the category with the aforementioned characteristics, as such, the person should be allowed to decide if he should continue living under great pain, or not.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you beacus if a person is suffering too much, he or she can dcide to end their life and rest in peace.Humans can do whatever they want, and if they want to end with their life because their suffering too mucho, they have the right.
