War ethical? Definitely not!

How can war be ethical? How can killing someone elses life to feel you are in power be ethical? I think there is no reason under no circumstance to end with someone's life. I think that in order to live a harmonious life it is necessary to respect others. People need to follow the five percepts or the five rules which are: No killing, no stealing, no sexual misconduct, no lying, and no intoxicants. The first one involves a respect for life, not just your own life but other people's life. There is nothing that should be killed, not even a bug. We should feel a loving-kindness attitude towards others, hoping they have a happy life free from any harm and danger. If there is a problem that needs to be resolved, fighting is not the correct way to do so. People can follow the Four Noble Truths which will determine the cause of the problem and how to solve it without violence. I am not saying there will be no suffering, but we know that it comes from desire, and desire can be eliminated by following the Eightfold Path. The Eightfold Path is formed by eight steps. These steps must be followed each one by one in order to accomplish the end of suffering and to become a better person with more wisdom. Before any violence, people need to think and evaluate themselves before criticizing others. Usually fights take place between two sides that are intolerant of each other. This is why we need to think of others as good human beings that will do no harm to us. People need to learn that fighting will lead to more fighting and more disagreements. Violence does not solve problems. Talking and thinking things over does.

  1. I totally agree that war is unethical. Killing millions of people just because power or territory is not ethical. We all humans are brothers and wars have to stop, because in your concience what war does is kill many people who are innocent.

  2. I agree with you because war should never be ethical. We want to create peace and justice in the world, but I think that we don't need war to create justice.
