Women have the right to decide !

Should abortion be legal? This is a public controversial question that has been inquired for many years. The legality, prevalence, and cultural views on this topic vary substantially around the world. According to the utilitarian belief if a significant number of women desire abortion then the government should make abortion legal. Women have the freedom to decide the correct decision for their future. Therefore, abortion is considered legal according to the usefulness it has on women’s lives. There is no God out there telling people what is good or bad for them. One of the main reasons why abortion has been abolished in society is due to religion. According to religion, women have to “accept” the purpose God has given them, but the truth is religion does not really determine what is wrong from right. What is good or bad is defined as what the majority of the people say so or the utility it has on the majority of society. For example, women have to decide what this unborn child will need and what implies giving birth to the baby. What if this child was conceived through rape? Should the women be forced to keep the baby under any circumstances? Relying on utilitarian belief, this decision must be grounded in individual perspective and view of the situation. I believe abortion is an ethical decision since it facilitates the lives of many young women around the world. There are many of them that are not prepared for the load of motherhood; abortion provides an opportunity to make up their minds and choose what is best for their situation.
